The BlackHat is a simple case with a potentiometer and two buttons (either level switches or push buttons). The information from the input elements is communicated to a smart phone, which can be attached to the BlackHat. Together they form a smart phone based throttle with a real knob for speed control and real buttons for direction and function control.
